Botox injections are the fastest-growing cosmetic procedures in the industry. The procedure is one of the safest available for the reduction or softening of wrinkles. We frequently use it to treat frown lines between the eyebrows, forehead wrinkles, and lines around the eyes (Crow's Feet). A few tiny injections are administered to the skin which calm the muscles and thus, allows for a smoother, more relaxed appearance.

Dermal Fillers (Juvederm, Rafiesse, etc.) are used in treating deeper lines of the face such as nose and around mouth and also to plump up lips. With just one treatment, you'll get smooth and natural-looking results that last up to a year.

The Gentlemax laser system is an ideal option for turning back the clock on aging by gradually tightening up the skin and reducing fine lines and wrinkles without surgery, injections, or recovery time. As the laser energy gently heats up the collagen below the skin surface, immediate contraction results in tighter and firmer skin but it also stimulates the production of new collagen, enhancing your youthful appearance over time. Treatments usually take 20-30 minutes and are spaced approximately 4 weeks apart. Some people see results after only one treatment but 4-6 treatments on average are recommended for additive benefits.

Age spots, also known as sun spots are flat, tan, brown, or dark brown spots on sun-exposed skin. As people age, sun spots most commonly appear on the back of the hands, the forearms, neck, chest, and face and are associated with cumulative sun exposure. The pigment producing cells in the skin (called melanocytes) are activated to produce more pigment (melanin) by ultraviolet rays. We use a laser light to selectively remove the pigment without damaging the normal surrounding skin. Tolerance of pain varies greatly from person to person. Many patients describe the feeling as a warming sensation similar to the feeling one has after a day on the beach.

Spider veins are typically caused by abnormal blood flow and weakening of the blood vessel wall. Any condition or activity that places pressure on the veins (like weight gain, prolonged sitting or standing) can contribute to their development. Spider veins are always superficial to the skin and much smaller than the varicose veins. The best and gold standard treatment for spider veins is laser. Laser vein removal is an easy, fast, and effective way to treat superficial veins. The laser uses a focused beam of high-intensity light that penetrates deep into skin tissue where it delivers a controlled amount of therapeutic heat to the targeted blood vessels. The heat generated from the laser coagulates the blood inside the vessel causing it to collapse and seal. Over the next few weeks, the vessel disappears and all the blood is removed by the body's scavenging cells. Treatment could take as little as a few minutes to as long as an hour, depending on the area and condition being treated. The number of sessions depends on the treatment you require and the condition of your skin.
Eight weeks before treatment and throughout the course of treatment patients are advised to:
  • No tanning and sunless tanners
  • The area to be treated should be shaved one day prior to treatment as closely as possible.
  • On the day of treatment no lotion, makeup and perfume should be used on the areas to be treated.
  • If you are taking Accutane, or have taken it in the last 6 months please notify office ahead of time.
  • If you are taking any antibiotics or blood thinners, please notify office ahead of time.
  • Avoid treatment while pregnant

  • Tylenol is recommended for any pain, as needed
  • AVOID THE SUN-completely after treatment for 4 weeks to reduce hyper pigmentation. Use a broad spectrum SPF 45 zinc oxide or titanium dioxide with UV A/B sunblock
  • Avoid strenuous exercise for 48 hours after treatment
  • Wait at least 6-8 weeks before the next treatment as resolution of the vessels continues throughout this entire period
  • Your leg veins may appear bruised or darker red following treatment. This discoloration will fade over the next few weeks. Brown discoloration may take several months to fade
